CHURCH NOTES.

The subject of the intended address at the Orcnge.Hall on Sunday night will be "The Millenium—the Nature and Extent of Christ’s Reign on Earth.” Note the change of hour to 8 o’clock.

Whittier’s beautiful hymn. “Who Fathoms the Eternal Thought?” will be the Rev. F. Copeland’s subject at the Hastings Methodist Church tomorrow’ evening, the morninf; topic being “What Are Our Resources?” Anthems will be rendered by the choir, at both services.

The Rev. T. Keith Ewen will conduct to-morow's services at the Hastings Baptist Church. “The One Who Never Faileth” will be his morn, ing. topic, and “The Proof of Spiritual Fitness” in the evening, when Mrs P. W. Lascelles and Mrs L. Compton will render a duet. The Lord's Supper will be observed the close. The time of the evening service is now altered to 7.30. Strangers heartily welcomed'.

The Rev. D. J. Shaw will be the preacher in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church to-morrow. Anthems will be sung at both services, and the sermon subject in the evening will be “What do we mean when we sav say that the Bible is inspired?” A special invitation is extended to strangers and to those who do not habitually attend church.

There will be two celebrations of the Holv Communion at St. Matthew's on Sunday, at 7 and 8. The preacher at 11 a.m. will be Mr Donald Grant. M.A.. of Edinburgh University, the organising secretary oi the Christian Student Movement in New Zealand. The choir will sing Goss’s anthem. “O. Love. Thou Art My God.” Evenson” will be at 7.30 p.m. All new envelone subser are requested to put their envelopeeach Sunday in the plate or the box at the church door.
