GRAND CONCERT
IN AID OF MAORI CIRLB. COLLEGIANS ASSIST IN SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. St. Andrew’s Hall, Hastings, was crowded last evening when a most delighttul concert, was given in aid of the Presbyterian Maori Girls’ College. The programme was a lengthy one, each and every item being fully appreciated by the audience. The programme submitted was as follows :— Orchestral selection, Mrs Scott and party ; vocal solo, Miss Baker; vocal solo, Mrs Budd; vocal solo, Mr Compton; recitation. Miss V. Gosling ; vocal solo, Mrs Robertso’, orchestral selection, Mrs Scott uai party; vocal solo. Mr. Bewley: humorous solo, Mr. Baumgardt; chorus, “Come to the Fair,” Y.M.B.C. members ; recitation. Miss J. Raeburn; dialogue, “Cousin Chloe,” Junior B.C. Members; Maori song, Senior B.C. Members; duet. Misses Lindsay and Flowers; character sketch, Y.M. B.C. Members: song, “Caller Herrin’,” Junior B.C. Members; Welsh air, “The Ash Grove.” Senior 80. Members; song, “Aloha Ae,” Y.W. B.C, Members.
