BRAVE NUN
RESCUED 67 CHILDREN,
New York, November 9. How a nun carried 67 sleeping chil dren from a dormitory, which was a veritable roaring furnace, and skipped, with her burdens, from beam to beam, as the floorboards burned beneath her feet, stands out amid the confusion of the story of the burning of the Baptistine Orphanage. Sister Mary Gabriel was the nun who performed the amazing rescues, in the course of which she collapsed three times.
