INDIAN NON-STOP FLIERS.
NOT SIGHTED SINCE START.
London, Nov. 16.
There has been no news of any kind of Bert Hinkler or Captain McIntosh since they disappeared from Upavon. According to last minute advice to the Air Ministry, .the airmen intended following a great circular route via Berlin, Warsaw, Odessa and Afghanistan, across the Himalayas, which is an entirely new route to India. They would thus pass over great tracks of country uninhabited except by passibly hostile tribes, and hill ground unsuitable for landing. At dawn to-day they expected to climb high to pass over the dangerous Himalayas to enter India. They carried sufficient petrol to last until noon on Thursday. Clouds, mist and rain are reported to be preventing observers from sighting the 'plane.—(A. and N.Z.)
