The dead body of Walter Oldham, aged 70 years, was found in the lavatory of the Windsor Private Hotel, Christchurch, yesterday morning. Oldham was a boarder at the hotel.
The body of a man was found last evening in a dip on the LytteltonSumner road. Death apparently was due to a revolver shot m the head, presumably self-inflicted. So far the body has not been identified. The man was about 45 years of age, and was well dressed. Beside his body lay a cheap revolver. Death had occurred about 48 hours earlier.
