Fire In Invercargill: A fire at Deacon’s, an upstairs billiard saloon, in Esk street, Invercargill yesterday completely gutted the top storey of the premises. The stocks of a millinary shop, a bookbinder’s and McNaughton's stationery store beneath were seriously damaged by the colJapsing of the floor and by water. The damage is estimated at £4OOO. No insurances are available.
