EGMONT SHOW
CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS.
Hawera, Nov. 16.
The Egmont A. and Show was opened to-day in cold rain’ which fell continuously during the morning and inconvenienced the judging and ring competitions. Owing to the sodden ground the motor gymkhana was abandoned and the evening sports programme postponed till the second day. The entries of pedigree cattle showed a decrease in numbers, though a uniform high quality. The pig section included 80 exhibits from Hawke’s Bay.
