SATISFACTORY ARRANGEMENTS

BILL PASSED BY HOUSE.

Air Balharry, secretary of the Hawke’s Bay executive of the Farm ers’ Union, has received a fetter from Air E. H. Williams, solictor, relating to the Howard Estate. T’he communication says:—

“Last Alouday week I perused the Howard Estate Amendment Bill in Wellington, and made certain suggestions to the Minister, which ho adopted, and 1 have now received word from th e Minister that the bill, as amended, lias been passed by the House of Representatives and will b« considered by the Legislative Council at an early date.

1 ‘ There was no time to submit the Amendment Bill to the Farmers’ Union, but in my judgment it carries out wnat the Hawke’s Bay people desire.’’
