OLYMPIC GAMES.
THE “PROFESSIONAL” BAR. BRITISH SPORTS ATTITUDE. (Received 16, 9.40 a.m.) London, Nov. 15, The “Athletic News,” summarising the Olympic position, says that Britain is definitely not competing in soccer and hockey, and may out compete in boxing and cycling, but will compete in athletics, which is considered the real reason for the Olympiad’s existence. The attitude of other bodies like swimming and gymnastic associations, is uncertain, though it is expected that the majority will ultimately agree under protest.—(Sydney “Sun” cable.)
