' SMALL YARDINC—ADVANCED PRICES. GOOD QUALITY STOCK OFFERED There was a small penning of fat cattle, a moderate entry of good quality stores, and a small yaiding of both fat and store sheep at Siortford Lodge to-day. The fat cattle, which were generally of good quality, sold well, while stores were unusually well competed for at figures in advance of recent rates. Fat sheep appeared to be bringing slightly more than freezing rates, and an almost total clearance was made of the small yarding offered. Store sheep offerings consisted mostly of shorn wethers. These founed a very good market at prices close up ts freezing values. FAT CATTLE. Bullocks: Prime heavy, £ll R)/to £l2 2/6; prime, £lO 10/- to £ll 2/6; medium, £lO to £lO 7/6. Cows: Medium £5 11/- to £6light, £4 7/- to £5 1/-. Heifers: Prime. £7 15/- to £8 3/-; medium, £7 2/6. STORE CATTLE. . Bullocks and Steers; 53 forward condition P.A. bullocks, well grown, £8 15/-; 20 2-year P.A. steers in ordinary store condition, £6 12/-; 15 S.H. bullocks, in light store condition, £8 1/-; 17 3-yr good P.A. Ewes, woolly — Prime, 27/10; medium, 25/3; light, 23/6. Maiden shorn ewes.—Prime 24/3. Wethers.—Prime, 26/1; 'light, 23/6. STORE SHEEP. All store sheep were off shears except where otherwise specified. Wethers—lll4 good, well-grown, even-type 2-teoth wethers, on account . Waikareta Station, were sold in runs at 24/1 and 23/9; 237 forward 4-tooth wethers, a fair line, 25/-; 117 forward 2-tooth wethers, some fats, some small, 24/-; 67 2 and 4-tooth wethers, in good condition, 23/6; 95 2-tooth wethers, small but in fair condition, 22/-; 55 small 2-tooths, in fair condition. 20/-; 60 very small and hard 2-tooths, passed at 19/2.
