Sir Austen Chamberlain made statements regarding his recent conversation in Spain with the Spanish Prime Minister. He said, “Our conversation was of the most friendly but also the informal character. In the course of it 1 expressed a hope that Spain would resume her former full and valuable co-operation in the work of the League of Nations, and we discussed, among other things, the question of Tangier on which conversations are proceeding between France and Spain, the results of which are to be reported to us when concluded.' 1
