A Lucky Escape.—Peter Pederson, of Wliangarei, had a marvellous escape from death early yesterday morn ing in attempting to dodge the tra - lie dom e at tne intersection of Kamo road and Nixon street. Ho lost Control of his motor cycle and ran into the kerb. The cycle leapt into the air somersaulted and landed a chain away in an empty section. The cycle fell on Pederson, who brok e his right forearm, besides sustaining a deep cut in his forehead. A pillion passenger named Wilson, was practically uninjured. Th e cycle in its flight missed a stone wall by inches. Pederson was admitted to hospital.
