TRYING CONDITIONS
The fishing conditions on the Tuki Tuki were most disappointing .'this week-end. The water was quite clear, but the wind was strong, fitful and changeful of direction, which was very trying on those engaged in the competition, as their casts were many times blown back in their faces. The competition was. however, proceeded with, the following anglers weighing in:— T F. Picket. 13 fish, 121bs. Boz. .. 1 E T. Gifford. 7 fish. 71bs. 2 j’ N. Walker, 8 fish. 61bs. 12oz. 3 A. S. Tonkin. 9 fish. 61bs. lOoz. .. 4 SEA-FISHING. Yesterday’s gale rendered fishing in the sea imjiossible. and it is reported that nothing was landed by fishermen along the beach.
