SCHOONER MARORO
AGAIN HIGH AND DRY. (Per Press ABBOciatlbn). Gisborne, Nov. 14. To have succeeded in drawing their ship practically to deep water with the prospect of getting her clear of the rocks with the help of one more high tide, and then to have her driven back by a vicious southerly, has, been the experience of the men .engaged in salvaging the schooner Maroro, which was stranded recently near Blackhead. “The vessel should have "been afloat and in port by Saturday but for the sudden turn in the weather,” states Mr Goodman, who has charge of the salvage operations.
