According to the annual report of the Commissioner of Police, tabled in the New South Wales Assembly, there was a large increase in serious crime and /crime of all classes, including offences by persons under ths ive of 21. in New South Wales in 1926. The total increase compared with 1.925, was 1-1,298 cases.
With the arrival of Mr. Massey, the new Canadian Minister to the United States, three permanent ttivqvs of the British commonwealth met on Wednesday in Washington for the first time in history. The Ambassador. Sir Esme-Howard, and the Irish Free State Minister,’ Mr Smiddy greeted Mr Massey upun his arrival.
