KITE-FLYING.

DANGER OF ELECTRIC WIRES. WARNING TO CHILDREN. The danger of children kite-flying in the vicinity of live wires was strongly stressed by Mr. Mason Chambers at yesterday’s meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Power Board. He stated that the practice was a real danger when high tension wires were about. It only required the string to touch one of these wires on a damp day and the child would probublv get a shock or oven be electrocuted.

It was agreed that the board should take the matter up with the schools in the country areas and leave ft to the Borough Councils to do likewise in the towns.
