The wheat crops are looking well, and the recent rains have been very benefical to the potatoea. A proposition has been inoo'.ed among a portion of the Arawa tribe to establish settlements on total abstinence principles. The Bishop of Waiapu and several of the clergy leave to-day for Auckland. The local Lodge of Good Templars vo'ed a splendid regalia Sisley, who is leaving thin place, to take a civil seivice appointment in Napier. He is highly tespected and worthily esteemed in Tauranga.
