FOR SALE, IN NEW ZEALAND, To Arrive, ex Lennox Castle, A Selection of Three Bulls From the superb herd of Messrs Leney & Son, Orpines, Watering bury, Kent. AT the Sale on the 2nd July, at which these Animals were bought, 41 head realised £9,095 2s Od, or an average p-r head of £221 16s 7£d. PEDIGREE. Lot 2—Charming Prince, ronn, calved February 15, 1873; got by Grand Duko of Kent (26289), dam (Charming Maid) by Lord Liverpool (22168) Lot B—First Lord, rich roan, calved July 14, 1873; got by Bth Duke of Geneva (28390) dam (Lady Louisa's Duchess Ist) by 4th G. Duke (19874). Lot 11—The Royal Prince, n ; d, calved October 9,1873; got by Bth Duke of Geneva (28390), dam (Princess Alice) by British Prince (14197). Lot 2 is of the Charmer blood, a family in high repute for milking properties. Lots 8 and 11 are by the American Bull, "Eighth Duke,of Geneva," which was purchased by Messrs Leney & Son for 1650 guineas, and are half-brothers of the heifer-calf "Fourth Grand Duchess of Geneva," which realized at this sale 2000 guineas. The " Eighth Duke of Geneva " is said to be the purest bred Bull in existence of tho" Bates" family, and Lots 8 and 11 by him are of the highest breeding and character, rich in color, fine symmetry, with excellent quality of flesh and hair, as well as good dairy properties. These Bulls are offered for private sale, and if not disposed of at certain reserved prices, will, it' inducement offers, be exhibited at the Agricultural Show, Christchurch, in November next, and one or more will be sold at public sale after the Show, the owner retaining the right to make one bid on each animal at the time of sale.
