A railway accident was reported from Dunedin, by telegram, on Tuesday last. On the morning of that day, some ballasting trucks had been left on the Green Island line, and a passenger train ran into them. Nine passengers were seriously injured, and some severely bruised. The fault lay with the locomotive foreman, who was immediately discharged.
