TAURANGA.
(fbom a correspondent.) [by electric telegraph.] 18th September. The absorbing subject here is Good Templarism, and the Order is meeting with great and remarkable success. A grand degree meeting was held on Tuesday) at which Bro. R. Harding, of Waipukurau, assisted. There was much enthusiasm. The Rev. Bro. Gordon, on behalf of the Lodge, acknowledged their gratitude and the obligation they were under to those gentlemen who had first publicly moved in the matter, and had thns been instrumental in introducing the benefits of Good Templarism into the Tauranga district. Mr Harding took his departure for Napier yesterday. 21st September. The chief Te Kuka brings important news regarding a great gathering of natives, friendly and disaffected, held at Kaimai, a settlement on the boundary range between Tauranga and Waikato. The Cambridge road was the subject of discussion, and a decision adverse to its construction was arrived at.
