A Singapore telegram, dated 28th August, states that a rupture is threatened between China and Japan, on account of the Formosa expedition to China. They are making immense preparations for war. A " contact" being discovered at the Grahamstown telegraph office one Sunday morning recently, a lineman was despatched to sseertain the cause.
