' It is stated that the Governor will pay a farewell visit to Canterbury during the Metropolitan race meeting in November next, prior to his departure for England. At a recent meeting of the Canterbury Jockey Club, it was decided that produce foaled after Ist January, 1875, should take their ages from the Ist August instead of the Ist July.
