Fairy arrived from Wairoa and Mahia early on Friday morning. Should the weather permit, she wil return to Wairoa this evening. The schooner Lsetitia, Captain Hedges, arrived from Mercury Bay on Friday, with a cargo of timber. The s.s. Rangatira arrived from Poverty Bay on Saturday morning, and steamed for Wellington at 11.30 a.m. same day. The schooner Kate M'G-regor, Capt. Smith, arrived from Auckland on Saturday, ■with 37,000 feet timber, 85,000 shingles, 4 tons doors and windows, and 100 drain-pipes. The schooner Colonist, Capt. P. Brown, arrived from Cabbage Bay yesterday, after a good passage of four days, with 38,000 feet timber. The schooner Onward has gone ashore at Tairua, Auckland. She is owned by Mr J. W. Waller, and insured in the New Zealand office. The s.s. Tararua arrived at Ilokitika from Melbourne yesterday. The steamer Northumberland arrived in London from Melbourne on the 11th August. The s.s. Maogregor has reached San Francisco. The Tartar arrived In Auckland yesterday with the English mails. She left San Francisco on the 28th, and arrived at Honolulu on the sth August, having made the fastest passage on record. She left on the 6th and arrived at Kandavau on the 18th, but finding no vessel there proceeded to Auckland, arriving last night at eleven o'clock. Passengers for New Zealand — Mr and Mrs Morrison, Mr and Mrs Webster, Mr and Mrs Anderson, Capt. Meavc, Messrs O'Neill, Coombs, Mills, Carratt, Y. 11. Reesing : Mrs and Miss Kuiglit, Bfessrs E. Ferguson The ship Warrior Queen, from Otago, went ashore at 6 p.m. on July 20th, four miles north of Point Poyncs. The boats got out immediately. The captain remained aboard all night, and at 4 a..m. the following day all hands left the wreck, which was sold the following day for 700 dollars ; but up to the present time, nothing has been done towards saving the property in consequence of the state of the weather. The accident occurred during a dense fog.
