PROSPECTUS of the Raglan and Waikato Native Company. CAPITAL ... £SOOO, Iu 500 Stares, at £lO per Share. following are the Rules by which i the company is to be conducted:— 1. The Company is to t be conducted by the following Directors:—Te Moananui Ihimimera, Turingenge Hepata, Rapata Erueta, Wataranihi, Horoinona Ngatipare, Mita Karaka, and Aperahama |K. Patene. 2. Europeans are not to hold shares iu the Company. 3. The persons authorised to receive money on behalf of the Company are Ngatai, Hen are, Wataranihi Kipi, and A. T. Patene, who is [their Chairman. 4. An annual statement shall be made to the shareholders, showing in what way-the funds of the Company have been appropriated, and what remains in the hands of the Company. 5. Any shareholder wishing to retire from the Company may sell his share or shares; but if unable to dispose of his interest he shall remain in the Company. 6. The conductors of the Company shall be assisted at each meeting by one or more of the shareholders. The business of these meetings is to be conducted in the presence of the shareholders. 7. Shareholders shall be entitled to their proportion of the profits of the Company from the date when their shares are fully paid up. 8. It has been determined that the sum of £5 shall be paid, and this sum only, on each £IOO in each year, on all paid-up shares. This amount shall be paid at such time, and such time only as thn Directors shall determine. 9. The Directors shall give notice when such money shall be paid on account of shares. 10. When all the shares Bhall have been bought or taken up, then the shares shall be increased in value. 11. Out of the 5000 shares in the above Company up to the present time, 200 shares have been sold. Any Maori who may wish to become a shareholder in this ing to the form below, and send his application to the Chairman of the Board of Money Collectors of the Company, to A. Tautari Patene, and forward for each share taken .or applied for the sum of £2 10s, which is the first'sum paid on each share when taken up, or applied for, and the remainder which is due on each share shall be forwarded by the applicant at his earliest convenience ; but if those who apply prefer, they may send the full sum for each share, that is £lO at once ; and if any Maori asks for two shares he must send £5, and so on in accordance with the numbers of shares asked for. No share less than £2 10s shall be given to any Maori whatever, and this is the first sum paid on each share. The following is the form of application : To A. Patene,— Salutations to you, I wish to take for myself in the above Company, and I enclose herewith the sum of Pounds Shillings, which I send as having taken those shares.
