Politically, the Ilawke's Bay Times is entirely independent of any party. Public questions are dealt with upon their merits, avoiding those personalities which disfigure a portion of the colonial press. In its oriOinal and selected matter alike, the Times will endeavor to maintain a high tone, and leill be found always on the side of political and social reform. The rate of subscription is Six Shillings and Sixpence per Quarter. To Country Subscribers paying in advance, no charge is made for Postage.
