GoodaWs Quinine TFmc—-The combination of quinine with alcohol and the flavoring ingredients of wine, especially orange wine, is certainly as useful as it is pleasant and popular. The acid used to insure the solution of the quinine, in place of being mineral, asin most of the mixtures prescribed by the faculty, is vegetable, and hence is less liable to disagree with the stomach and give rise to painful tormina —a result rendered still less likely to occur in consequence of the presence of the alcohol and the aromatic oil of the bitter or Seville orange.
