GOODALL'S QUININE WINE, Prepared with Howards Quinine, IS an invaluable and agreeable Stomachio to all suffering from General Debility, Indigestion, Nervousness, and Loss of Appetite. Recommended for its PURITY by th<t Food Journal, the Anti-Adulteration Review, Arthur Hill Ilassall, M.D., the Lancet, Wentworth Lascelles Scott, Esq.. F.C.S., F.A.S.L., F.R.S.S.A., &c. Sold by Grocers, Chemists, &c, in large bottles at Is and 2s each. Prepared by GOODALL, BACKHOUSE, & Co., Leeds, England. GoodaWs Quinine Wine. —The combination of quinine with alcohol and the flavoring ingredients of wine, especially orange wine, is certainly as useful as it is pleasant aud popular. The acid used to insure the solution of the quinine, in place of being mineral, asin most of the mixture! prescribed by the faculty, is vegetable, and hence is less liable to disagree with thr stomach and give rise to painful tonnin; —a result rendered still less likely to occui in consequence of the presence of tin alcohol and the aromatic oil of the bittei or Seville orange. It is obvious, howevei that the efficacy of quinine wine wil depend greatly upon the quality ami quantity of the constituents of which it composed, and especially of the quinh; employed; but on this point Messr Goodall expressly state that their wine i. made with Howard's quinine. The sample - of Goodall's quinine wine we ha'.' examined have been of excejjent qualit; and remarkable for unprecedented cheapness, which, in these days of dearness ai ■"' scarcity, is certainly in itself a grey and unusual recommendation.—From t' Lancet, May 17,1873.
