Murray, arrived in port on the 2nd iust., from Auckland, with 25,000 feet timber. The ketch Mary Ann Hudson, Capt. J. Rush, from Wairoa, arrived on the 2nd inst., with a cargo of maize. The s.s. Fairy, Captain J. Campbell, arrived from Wairoa, with a cargo of wool, on the 3rd January. The schooner Opotiki, Capt, W. Harris, arrived from Poverty Bay at au early hour yesterday morning. The s.s. Rangatira, Captain C. Lloyd, left Wellington at 1.30 a.m. on the 4th; lauded mails and passengers, and arrived in the Ahuriri roadstead at 2 a.m, on the sth. Experienced heavy beam sea to Castle Point, and from thence to port head wind and sea, —She steamed for Poverty Bay at 5.30 last evening. The cutter Start, Capt. Doughty, from Auckland, arrived at 9 a.m. yesterday, with 24,000 feet timber. The schooner Success, Capt. M ‘Donald, arrived in the roadstead yesterday morning, from Auckland, with a cargo of timber and two passengers. The schooner Effie Meikle, Capt. M. Hooper, arrived from Auckland yesterday with 34,000 feet timber.
