Bendali, left Hobart lowa on the evening of the sth inst., and passed Cape Pillar at 6 a.m. on the 7tb, with a fresh N.E.. wind, which soon increased to. a strong gale, accompanied with a high sea and thick weather, lasting ahout 36 hours. From that part time till making the coast of New Zealand, experienced variable winds and squally weather. Was off Cape Farewell on the loth inst., and since thattime, till arrival here yesterday, a succession of head winds and calms prevailed. Cargo: 20,000 feet sawn timber, 7,000 sft. palings, 2,000 6ft. palings, 17 bullock poles, 500 spokes, 71 shafts, 456 felloes, 2 cases harpoons and lances, and 10 coils whale oil. —This really handsome vessel is the property of Captain Bendali, and we wish him every success with his new venture. She is intended for the trade on this coast. Under the heading ''Shipbuilding in Tasmania," in other column, will be found a description of the Clematis. The cutter Dawn arrived yestetday from Poverty Bay, bringing a cargo of wool, which was transhipped into the ship Robert Henderson. The s.s. Star of the South, hence, arrived at Grahamstown early yesterday morning. The refitting of the brigantine Esther will, we are informed, be completed by to-morrow evening. ,
