The Saucy kass has, this trip, been away rather longer than usual. The delay has been occasioned by detention at the saw-mills at Mercury J3ay, on account of the demand for and scarcity of timber. —This vessel will leave lor Auckland via the coast on Monday next. The brigantine Kate Kearney sailed hence for Wellington this afternoon, with cargo as reported in pur last. The brig Helen, with a cargo of coal, left Newcastle for Napier on the 6th instant. The s.s. Star of the South, hence at 0 30 a.m. on Tuesday, arrived at Anck jand at 3 p m. yesterday. The charter of the s.s. Keera to the N.Z.S.S. Company having expired, that steamer has been handed over to her owners. The company is having a pad die steamer of only five feet draught huiit by Mr Nicol, of Auckland, expressly for river, traffic' She' will be able to go up fhe Wanganui, Manawatu, and Rangitij:ei Rivers, and will be placed upon the trade between those place;; and Wellington.'
