PATENT for certain Improvements in the Construction and Manufacture of Revolving Berdan Basins, or Pans, used for the pulverisation, reduction, and amalgamation of Gold, Silver, or other ores, minerals, and any other substances, and in the apparatus employed therein. this is to notify that Edward Man Gorbett, of Grahamstovn, Thames Gold Fields, in the Province of Auckland, New Zealand, Engineer, did, on the sixteenth day of July last, deposit at the office of the Patent Officer, in the Colonial Secretary's Office, in Wellington, a specification or instrument in writing under his hand and seal, parti cularly describing and ascertaining the nature of the said invention, and iu what manner the same is to be performed; and that by reason cf such deposit the said invention is protected and secured to him exclusively for the term of six calendar months thence next ensuing. And I do farther notify that the said Edward Man Gorbett has given notice iu writing at my office of his intention to proceed with his application for Letters Patent for the said invention, and I have appointed FRIDAY, the fifteenth day of November next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, at my office, to bear and eonsider the said application and all objections thereto; and Ido hereby rcquiro all persons having an interest in opposing the grant of such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the eleventh day of November, al my office in Wellington, particulars in writing of their objections to the said application, otherwise they will be precluded from urging the same.
