There being too much sea on to lower a boat, the passenger was placed on board the cutter Dawr, which vessel bad just arrived from Napier. The Star left Poverty Bay at 3 p.m. yesterday; had strong head wind to Portland Island which was rounded at 9 p.m. Experienced light N.W. wind across the Buy, and brought up in the roadstead at 230 this morning. She brings about 20 tons general cargo. —The Star will steam for the Thames and Auckland at 2 p.m. on Monday next. The s.s. Keera, Captain Andrews, from Wellington and Southern Ports, arrived here this morning. The schooner Laßtitia sailed hence this afternoon for Auckland, in ballast. The schooner Columbia will leave for Mercury Bay to-morrow, in ballast. The barque Coronilla arrived at Newcastle from Napier on the 26th September. Immediately after receiving a cargo of coal she was to sail for Auckland, where she will load with gum and flax for New York.
