Electoral District of Napier Town, 'N pursuance of "The Regulation - of Elections Act, 1870," I, Singleton Roehfort, Esq., Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Napier Town, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the nineteenth day of September, one thousand "eight hundred and seventytwo, under the Public Seal of the Province of Hawkc's Bay, an Election will be h olden for the return of one qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council of the said Pnmncc for the said Electoral District, in the place of William Colenso, Esq ,■ whoso office as a Mem bier of such Council has become vacant by his acceptance of the office of Inspector of Schools for the said Province; and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate's Court-house in Napier at NOON on. SATURDAY the twelfth day of October, 1872; and that the Poll (If necessary) will be taken on THURSDAY the seventeenth day of October, 1872; commencing at nine o'clock in the foienoon.
