ELECTION NOTICE. Electoral District of Napier Town. IN pursuance of " The Regulation of Elections Act, 1870," I, Singleton Roohfort, Esq, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Napier Town, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the nineteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and seventytwo, under the Public Seal of tha Province of Hawke's Bay, an Election, will be holden for the return of one qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council of the said Pro\ince for the said Electoral District;, in the place of William Colenso, Esq , whose office as a Member of s>uch. Council has become vacant by his acceptance of the office of Inspector of Schools (or the said Province ; and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate'! Court-house in Napier at NOON on SATURDAY the twelfth day of October, 1872; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on THURSDAY the seventeenth day of October, 1872; commencing at nine o'clock in the forenoon. Given under my hand at Napier aforesaid this twenty-fifth day of September, 1872. SINGLETON ROCHFORT, Returning Officer. For convenience of parties about Meanee and .surrounding country, Mares will be received at Mr Russell's Farm, Little Bush, from whence they will ba forwarded free of expense, and again delivered after being si in ted.
