N consequence of the continued neglect of persons to register their dogs, notwithstanding the advertise tissements in the papers from the Inspector of Police on the subject, and as there appears to be some misapprehension in regard to the requirements of the Act, the Inspector informs the people concerned, that the year is not to be computed from the date on which eaph individual may have registered his dog, but from January in each yeai', in which month after the first registration, each succeeding registration requires to be made. That the absence of a collar from the neck of a dog, though the same dog may have been duly registered, will subject the owner to the penalties of the Act.
