X neglect of persons to register their dog«, notwithstanding the advertise tisetuents in the papers from the Inspector of Police on the subject, and as there appears to be some misapprehension in regard to the requirements of the Act, the Inspector informs the people concerned, that the year is not to be computed from the date on which each individual may have registered his clog, but from January in each year, in which month after the first registration, each succeeding registration requires to be made. That the absence of a collar from the neck of a dog, though the same dog may have been duly registered, will subject the owner to the penalties of the Act.
