The ketch Glimpse, Qapt. Croucher, left Lyttelton on Tuesday. Sept. 3, and ex« perienced light variable winds till the 6th inst., when a gale from N.N.E. sprung up, thick dirty weather setting jn. The next day the wind suddenly to S W., and continued so until I p f m. yesterday, it then giving place to ft light N.E. breeze, the vessel arriving in the roadstead at 3 p.ui, yesterday ; entered the Iron Pot at 8 a.m. to-day. Cargo j J, 100 bags flour, Watt Bros. — The Glimpse will sail for Wellington via the coast on Thursday next. The s.s. Rangatira, Capt. Renner, left Dunedin at 4 a.m. on Wednesday, 4th inst., and arrived at Lyttelton at 5 a.m. on the 5 th; left again the same day, at & p.m.; when off Kaikoura, encountered a heavy sea and breeze ; ran in there for shelter; resumed her voyage at 9.30 a.m. on the 6>h, met with a heavy sea across Cook's Straits, and arrived at Wellington at 11 o'clock the same night. Left Wellington at 3.30 p.m. yesterday ; had a fair wind and smooth sea, and arrived here at I p.m. to-day. She brings a full general cargo.
