Star of the South, s.s., from Auckland via Poverty Bay Mary Ann Hudson, ketch, from Wairoa Three Brothers, schooner (repairing) PROJECTED DEPARTURES. Mary Ann Hudson, ketch, for Wairoa, to-night Star of the South, s.s., for the Thames and Auckland, at 5. p.m, to-morrow The s.s. Star of the South, Cap.t. Holmes, left Auckland at 2 p.m. on Saturday, 17th inst,; and encountered strong S.E. wind to the East Cape, which was rounded at 2 a,in. on Monday, 19th ; from thence, had a stiff souther, with heavy head sea. Pore up for Tologa Bay for shelter, where she arrived at 1 p.m. on Monday. Remained there till midnight, when, the weather having moderated, resumed her yoyage, arriving at Poverty Buy at 6 a.m. on Tuesday. Landed cargo and 2 passengers (Mr H. H. Lusk and another.) Left again at 8 a.m., and arrived in the roadstead at 9 o'clock last nightj entering the Iron Pot this morning. Reports having seeu the schooner Tawera (bound for Poverty Bay from Auckland) at aucbpr in Open Bay. The Star brought a portion being transhipped ex ships Coronilla and Celestial Queen.—lt will be seen by advertisement that the Star of the South will leave far the Thames and Auckland at 5 p.m. to-morrow.
