Telegraphic Intelligence.

FROM GMFILLE'S TELEQIUM CQMpjNT WELLINGTON. Fhiday, August 10. In the House last night, the adjourned debate on Mr Curtis' motion, for the utilisation of Provincial machinery, was resumed by Mr Fitzherbert, who concluded a long address by stating that the Provincial party declined to receive the challenge of the Government to make the motion before the House a Ministerial question. He then moved the previous question, which was seconded by Mr Macandrew. The Government seemed much djs concerted by this move, but accepted the amendment which was carried. The debate consequently lapsed. It is understood that 3V|i Stafford will give notice of motion, either to-night or on Tuesday, of a direct \ote of want of confidence in the Ministiy. .
