The Company is being established as a purely Colonial Institution, distributing its Shares as widely over New Zealand as possible, by allotting a fair proportion to each Province. The business of Insurance in New Zealand has become so extended that foreign companies are constantly appearing on the field, and withdraw large sums of money from the Colony, clearly showing that, with the increasing prosperity of the country, there is ample room for a sister institution to the New Zealand Insnrance Company, which during an existence of thirteen years, has met with unprecedented succe.-s, saving many thousands of capital to the colony, and therewith fostering iocal enterprise*. The operations of the Company will be conducted with exiremo caution, and upon sound principles; its success being insured by the business largely emanating from its own Shareholders. A deposit ot 5s per share to be paid on application, and a furthei sum of s:s pet share on allotment; no further call being anticipated. J. F.
