Columbia, schooner, from Lyttelton Amherst, brigantine, from Newcastle Fawn, ketch, from Lyttelton Hero, schooner, from Wairoa Three Brothers, schooner (repairing) PROJECTED DEPARTURES. Amherst, for Sydney, on Monday Columbia, for Auckland, to-morrow Fawn, ketch, for Pelorus Sound, early Hero, for Wairoa, early It will be seen by a telegram in our present issue that, in the House of Representatives last night, information was elicited from the Government to the effect that the p.s. Nebraska would be quarantined at Wellington for fifteen days. No doubt there are good grounds for such a prolonged detention ; but, we are tempted to ask, how about our next outward mails for Europe, &c, by this precious Californian line ? The schooner Columbia will sail for Auckland direct at 11 a.m. to-morrow, with a cargo of bones, hay, &c. The s.s. Napier may be expected to arrive from Mahia to-morrow. The brigantine Amherst will probably sail for Sydney on Monday next. We hear that the s.s. Rangatira has had her crank shaft broken. She will leave Wellington for Napier as soon as necessary repairs are completed. For abandoning their vessel without cause, and showing "a total want of self-possession," the master and mate of the brig Isabella, of Montrose, have had their certificates suspended—the former for twelve months, and the latter for six.
