Fiom a late number oi the Queen we lake the following:—The fashiouable colors worn in Paris are shades of brown, of bronze, and of grey. Neutral tints are in. favor; bright hues are raiely seen; and black certainly predominates over colors. The Alsace Lorraine jewellery as could only be expected, is very popular. It consists of enamelled shields, representing the arms of the two provinces; and these serve for designs for lockets, chatelaine hooks, or rings. Large crosses are verymuch worn at present. Sometimes they are of dead gold, with fine precious stones encrusted in the metal. When diamonds and emeralds are used they become handsome je* els ; but some of these large crosses are made of turquoise and garnets, mounted in a fantastic manner, when they become mere ordinary ornaments..
