AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET.

HUNTER AND NOI^IC.] Horses : A large number were entered yesterday for sale by auction, with a. decided improvement on last week as to> stamp, but few buyers for high-priced horses, or rather vendors were indisposed to sell at the figures offered. Hacks were in tolerable demand, and a good many changed hands at from .£4 10s to £2 10s. Medium draught, with fair trials, fiom £22 to .£27. Cattle : The supply has again been short of requirements, particularly good dairy cows at calving, and prime fat beasts. Really well-bred cows are from £lO to .£l2, and well-fatted.oxen fully 30s per 1001 b. There is a good demand for stores of all descriptions if breeding is displayed, and in fresh thriving condition. Sheep : The market continues bare* nor is the supply likely to be good unless shipments come to hand. Prices continue firm, with an upwatd tendency. We disposed of but few to the butchers, at from 18s 6d to 19s 3d. Stores are in good request, and sold at 10s to 14s 6d. Pigs : There was a moderate supply and good demand at from 2Jd to 4d per lb. [MR. ALFRED BUCKLAND.J At Remuera, on Wednesday, there was a very limited supply of store ca<tlc Those penned were freely competed for, and improved values obtained for them. Fat cattle were in full supply; 150 penned. Choice animals brought 27s 6d the 100&S, but the greater number sold were between 24s aud 26s the lOOflis. Fat sheep were in moderate supply, and in request at advanced prices. Merino wethers brought from 16s 6d to 19s each; half-breds, 14s to 12s; longwools, 23s each. Pigs were plentiful, but in demand, and last week's prices were fully sustained.
