The schooner Saucy Lass, Cape. Smith, left Napier on Wednesday, 13th inst., and arrived at Auckland at midnight on the IGih, having pulled in at several places on tho eoaat. Left Auckland again at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, the 20th inst., and arrived at Mercury Bay on the following day. Shipped timber and shingles, and left Mercury Pay on Sunday, the 24th. Bounded the East Cape at noon on Wednesday, the 27th, and passed Portland Island at 2 p.m. on the 28th. Sighted Port Ahuuri harbor light at 7 o'clock the same evening. Jn consequence of the heavy sea rolling in to the Bay, the schooner lay off and on during the night, and entered the Iron Pot at 7 o'clock yesterday morning, thus completing a run round rarefy equalled by sailing vessels on our coasts. Ou the down trip, Captain fßinith reports having experienced light S.il>. fyinds from Auckland to Mercury Bay, E.S.E. from thence to Gable End Foreland, and N. *nd \S.\i. from thence to port, with fine wea \\ier throughout. Cargo: 25,000 feet sawn timber and 15,000 shingles, R. Jdolc.—The Saucy Lass will sail again about Tuesday next, 2nd p.rox., for Auckland via the coast.
The s.s. Star of the South, Oapt. Holmes, took her departure fur the Thames and Auckland at 10 o'clock yosrerday forenoon, with 60 head cattle and 300 sheep.
The cutter Mahia tailed at 11 o'clock last :nighr, with a general cargo for VVairoa. The a.s. Nipier, Capt. Bendall, U advertised to steam hanee for Poverty Bay at fo" O'clock on Monday evening, 1-t April.
The schooner IJero, from Wairoa and Mo haka, arrived in port at 3 p.m. yesterday, bringing 8 bales and -%0 qr.-hales wool, 5. einptv casks, sc. The s.s. Keera is announced to steain hence for Poverty Bay, Tauranga, and Auckland on pr about Frjday next, s»th, April.
