Mr J. M. Lennox reports : —" There M'tis a good demand during the day for Caledonians. Shai es were sold at j£2f> \ they declined to £2l, and closed firm, with buyers at £22 10s. My sales comprise: Caledonian, £22 10s; Thames, ,£5 12s 6d; Bismarck, 17s Cd: Tokatea, £2 17s 6d. Sellers: Caledonian, .£23; Thames, £5 15s; All Nations, £4 10s."
We clip the following from the Daily Southern Cross, of Saturday last: — Owing to the poor potato crop, prices this year for this much-esteemed root are likely to rule high. A quantity of Auckland grown potatoes were quitted ac £7 per ton.
