The s.s. Rangatira took her departure at 1 p,in. to-day, for Poverty Bay, Tauranga, and Auoklaud, with 10 bales wool and sundry other cargo. The schooner Hero will probably sail for Wairoa to-night, with a general cargo and passengers. The s.s. Star of the South leaves for Auck land at 11 a.m. to-morrow. It is with pleasure the Wanganyi Chronicle notes that the barque Malaj—which vessel recently got ashore inside Wanganui Heads—has again got into deep water. The barque Velocidade left Lyttelton on the 11th iosc. for Boston, U.S.A., with 1,540 bales of wool.
