Star of the South, s s., for Auckland, at 11 a m. to morrow Rangatira, s.s., for Poverty Bay, T 'Uranga, and Auckland, at noon to-morrow Hero, schooner, for Wairoa, early 9?HK s.s. Keera, Capt Carey, left Auckland at 3.30 p.m.. on the 12th inst, and arrived ut Tauranga at 10 a.m. the next day ; left again tit 1p m- the same. On the 14th experienced a strong S.S.E. gale, in consequai.ee of which had to seek shelter in Hicks' Bay at 10 a.m. Left again at 10.20 a.m. on the 15th, and arrived at Poverty Bay at L. 15 a.m. on the? 10th ; left again at 8,45, a.m., arid arrived here at 8-55 pm. She steamed hence at 11.30 this forenoon for Wellington and Nelson, conveying 47 bales wool, 20 bags grass seed, 6 rams, &c. ; also several passengers. The s.s. Rangatira, Capt. Renner, left Wellington at 10.40 a.m. on Saturday, and arrived here at 430 p.m. yesterday, having experienced light head wind throughout. Cargo : 6.21 mats, and 61 pkgs sugar, 2,44 sacks oats, 50 sheep, iSc., &c. The Rangatira will steam for Poverty Bay, Tauranga, and Auckland at noon to-morrow. The s.s. Star of the South, Capt. Holmes, left Auckland at 4. p.m. on the 12th instant, and rounded Cape Colville at midnight:. At 11 a.m. on the 13th put back under Mayor Island in consequence of a heavy S.E. gale. Resumed her voyage at 3. p.m. on the 14th, a,nd rounded the Cape at 5 p m. on the 16th. Had fine weather from thence to port, arriving here at 430 pm. 3 esterday. Cargo : £1 sheep, 1 poach, Ac, —The Star will leave for Auckland at 11 a.m. to morrow, with a lull cargo of sheep. The ketch Why Not, henc« on the l7th ult., arrived at Auckland on the 6th inst.
