Mr Mercer, of Dunedin, rqgtde a trial shipment of better of local manufacture by the ship Otago, which sailed for London las}; week, and he intends making further shipments by other vessels. We observe also that the manufacture of butter in'ended for export is to be carried on in an extended scale in the Tokomairiro district yery shortly.
