AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MAIIKET.

During the past week cattle h ive offered in less numbers than for a considerable period, and an advance in values has been the result.
At Papakura, on Wednesday the stock offered were principally grown animals in good condition; they sold freely, and on dairy cattle an advance of 30s per head was obtained over the previous markejfc. At Remuera, on Thursday, the advanced price on dairy cattle was fully sustained. Sfcoro cattle were in very limited numbers, and maintained previous values. Eat calves plentiful. Fat cattle in less numbers than usual but of good quality and better worth about 5s the lOOlbs ; sheep were short of requirement, and at higher values from Is to 2s 6ach ; lambs abundant, and lower in price. Small-sized pigs were plentiful; those in good condition and well-bred sold freely at fully late values 5 coarse animals rather lower in price.
