In consequence of the departure of the Napier for Wairoa this morning, that steamer will not leave this port for Mahia and Poverty Bay until Monday night next, at 10 o'clock. In the Resident Magistrate's Court this morning, one drunkard was fined 10 shillings. A very pleasing addition to our street architecture, and which reflects great credit on local skill, has recently been erected in Hastings street. We allude to the ornamental cass-iron ve randa lately added to Mr H. Williams' shop-front—the first of its kind in Napier. The slender columns and light and elegant ornamentation, are in pleasing contrast to the heavy wooden structures before many places of business in our principal street. No doubt the eKample set by Mr Williams will be quickly followed by others, and we hope that Mr Light, our local founder, who has been put to great expense for patterns, &c, may have to execute many more orders of a similar kind.
